I Quit My Job Today

I just put in my notice that i’m leaving my job of 12 years.

I feel like I’m freefalling because I have nothing to catch me,

nothing obvious at least. No job lined up.

but i’m just letting go and letting myself fall.

Knowing that there’s nothing to fear

just let it come apart, like the world falling to pixels

on my journey in the kitchen that day.
